Who we are
Adatoz Consulting runs a free quote-matching service. We are the data controller for the information described below. Contact us at info@adatozconsulting.co.uk.
If you request a quote
- What we collect: your name, phone number, email address and description of the job, plus the date and wording of the consent you gave.
- Why: to pass your request to one independent local business so they can contact you, and to email you to confirm who that business is.
- Lawful basis: your consent (UK GDPR Article 6(1)(a)). You can withdraw it at any time by emailing us; this won't affect anything already shared.
- Who receives it: one local business that provides the service you asked for. We never sell your details or share them with more than one business. Our service providers (Netlify for hosting, Supabase for our database, Resend for email) process it on our behalf.
- How long we keep it: 12 months, after which it is automatically deleted. The business that receives your details becomes responsible for its own use of them.
If you are a business we contact
- What we collect: your business name, address, phone number and website from Google Maps, and a contact email address published on your website.
- Why: to send you free customer enquiries in your area.
- Lawful basis: our legitimate interest in connecting customers with local businesses. We only email limited companies, LLPs and PLCs, at most once a day.
- Opting out: every email has an unsubscribe link, or email us. We keep a record of the opt-out so we don't contact you again.
Your rights
You can ask to access, correct or delete your data, object to how we use it, or withdraw consent, by emailing info@adatozconsulting.co.uk. If you're unhappy with how we handle your data you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
Where your data is stored
Our database is hosted in the EU (Frankfurt). Some of our providers may process data in the US under UK-approved safeguards.
